Amazingly, I kept it together and got some more boxes packed, even though "Beautiful Boy" makes me want to crumple into a heap of depressed inertia and weep buckets.
Not to mention any version of "The Rainbow Connection."
And have I mentioned the late Israel Kamakawiwa'ole doing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow?"
Anything with a gentle, earnest vibrato and rousing acoustic guitar and I'm a total goner.
Thank God I'm generally bubbly and happy and don't have a propensity for fondling straight razors. Oy vey.

Oh, Izzy makes me cry, too, with that rendition. It's the best!
I was thinking of when I last moved, and I was packing listening to Frou Frou's "Let Go". I suddenly and immediately had to sit down and just cry right in the center of the room. There's something very cleansing and therapeutic about going through everything you possess piece by piece. You dig shit up.
"You dig shit up" is a total understatement. It's like major Regression Therapy--"Oh, yeah, this is a photo of when so-and-so and I did such-and-such...." and , "Oh, here's the thing that so-and-so gave me for(blank) occasion....." etc.
I mean, This is Your Life! And then there's the joy of stabbing photos or ripping them in half and angrily letting go of old shit. Oy, what a process.....
Caitlin why are you not listening to the super beats I sent you?!?! Stop with this pathetic pap and get your groove on!!!
When I'm at the point of cleaning (like, the OVEN, oh, JOY), when the boxes are packed, I'll prolly "get my groove on," but when I'm trying to bubble wrap everything and figure out spacial relations within the various sizes of cardboard boxes I have strewn around the apartment.....I kinda need to concentrate. So "pathetic pap" it is! (And dudette, it is so NOT!)
Oh alright.....I have my Sarah MacLachlan times, too. Oh, and Cat's in the cradle......
Love Ya
